Best Practice - IWD winners

International Women's Day Best Practice Competition

From grassroots groups to large-scale corporations, the IWD Best Practice Competition provides great inspiration. Last year saw over 300 entries, which was great growth from the previous year that saw over 100 entries. The aim of the IWD Best Practice Competition is to showcase the types of activity that provide useful guidance and inspiration for further groups

A difficult decision was made in light of the COVID-19 pandemic not to run the annual IWD 2020 Best Practice Competition. This is due to many groups needing to focus their attention on more pressing activity and concerns currently. Plus, some groups were not able to run their IWD events and activity in March as planned, in an attempt to reduce any potential risk for audiences.

We do know, however, for those groups who were fortunate to be in countries where it was still possible to proceed with their IWD events, there was considerable and impressive activity. Much best practice and innovation was observed across the world - and International Women's Day as a worldwide movement was certainly mobilized.
